Regain your happy, lifted and youthful look with dermal fillers

Volume loss and drooping of our face gives us a sad, tired, aged look. Fillers can correct undesired lines and folds as well as add volume to certain areas of the face which can create a fuller, lifted younger look, the so called “liquid face lift”.

Dermal fillers can add volume instantly and stimulate your own tissue to grow in volume.

What are Dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are products that can be injected just below the surface of the skin and in the tissue to lift, fill in lines, wrinkles, folds, and correct scars and/or add volume. What are the most popular use of fillers?

How Dermal fillers add volume?

Based on the way volume added to the tissue we can categorize dermal fillers to three different main classes as following:

Volume adding products:

Are those that can add volume to the skin instantly. The leading products with this feature are HAs (hyaluronic acid-base) dermal fillers such as Restylane family and Juvederm family.

Collagen stimulating products:

Are those that produce volume in the skin by stimulating your own skin to produce collagen and tissue over time. Sculptra is the most popular FDA approved product for this purpose.

Volume adding and collagen stimulating products:

Are those adding instant volume and stimulate collagen formation such as Radiesse and Artefill.

How do Hyaluronic Acids such as Restylane and Juvederm differ from Botox Cosmetic and Dysport?

Botox or Dysport (botulinum toxins) and Restylane and Juvederm (HAs, gel type dermal fillers) are used to correct wrinkles in different ways. Botox® or Dysport both relaxes the muscles that creates frown lines between your eyebrows and crow’s feet. In contrast, Restylane and Juvederm products are natural, cosmetic fillers injected into the skin, adding volume to smooth wrinkles such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

What is the difference between Restylane and Juvederm?

They are very similar products, both Hyaluronic acids, FDA approved to be injected in facial lines and folds to add volume. Benefit from our specials for either products.

What is right for me? Facelift or Fillers?

Not everyone needs the same correction and treatment to regain their younger look. Age related facial changes due to skin volume loss can be restored by filler for a fuller natural youthful appearance. If the changes are due to too much loose skin you may benefit from combination of a mini facelift and fillers. Face-lift without volume correction gives a stretched skin look which is not attractive. How long does the corrective effect of fillers last?

It all depends of site of injection, number of syringes and type of products used. Schedule a complimentary consultation with our dermatologist to learn about your options with it’s pros and cons.
