I LOVE DR. SHAFA! I’m seriously so glad to have found her office. When I came to Dr. Shafa’s office, she listened to what I wanted and told me about her practice and the product Radiesse. She kept saying “I’m a very conservative injector- and you can’t remove Radiesse so I inject very little at a time”. Hearing this, I was thinking “great. there’s going to be no change and progress with this, and not only that but it’s going to hurt even more than that Perlane”. It turns out she was right: she did inject VERY little and that I was wrong: it BARELY hurt at all (just a sting) and you’d think she used up the entire 1.5 cc syringe to make THAT much of a difference- people actually NOTICED how high it was this time. How much did she use? So little, that I was able to come back today at a very low price and have her artfully inject my nose again so it’s basically bbeaaauttifulll now, my nasolabial folds, AND my cheekbones. I never had the idea to put anything in my cheekbones. I had always hated my chubby cheeks but I knew that getting the fat removed there before I was 35 would come back to bite me- I wanted to save them for the future. I hated them so much, knowing I’d be able to love them when i was like 40 and didn’t know what to do but feel ugly for the meantime. Dr. Shafa actually recommended that we put the rest of the Radiesse there and voila! My chubby cheeks gave way to a defined, high cheekbones and facial structure. And she injected VERY little too. She gave me that awesome individualized facial reconstruction with just one syringe. Some months before, I went to some clinic in La Jolla where they persuaded me to get Perlane on the nose instead of Radiesse because it was more flexible and comfortable (and also more pricey). The injection hurt so much I cried and it was red and bruised for days. It left two huge scabs and when one went away, it left a pockmark! And my nose BARELY looked any different. Before coming to Dr. Shafa’s office, I never knew how horrible this injector was. I woke up in the morning today, hating absolutely everything about my face. I came back from the office an hour ago, and I can’t help but love being me and feeling actually pretty for the first time in a really long time.

Worth long drive for appointment
I have been a patient of Doctor Parvin Shafa for over seven years. I recently moved to Arizona, however I still go to see her for dermatology appointments. Without a doubt the long drive is worth the effort. Dr. Shafa is simply one of the most caring doctors I have ever met, and the only one I trust for dermatology. She is genuinely concerned for her patients, and every time I see her, she is fully focused on my health and treatment results. Besides being caring, Dr. Shafa is extremely talented. She has a “magic pencil” (as I call it) which leaves no visible mark on the skin. During my last visit, she tried explaining it to me; technically it’s some kind of electronic instrument that allows very precise corrections. Whatever it is, she is able to achieve amazing results with it. Her office staff is very professional, courteous, and helpful in every way. Making appointments, changing times, and billing are all handled efficiently. During my last visit, they went out of their way to answer all of my questions and make me comfortable (especially nice after my long drive). Another of her (many) advantages is that Dr. Shafa has incredibly reasonable fees. I can’t stress this enough. For a doctor located in Newport Beach, and with her level of expertise, she could charge very high rates, but is among the most economical doctors of any specialty I have ever visited. For people with high insurance deductibles, or those wanting to get elective cosmetic treatments, her reasonable fees are great news and will remove any apprehension. I couldn’t ask for more from a health care professional. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shafa’s, for just over nine years now. I came to her after the birth of my first child, hoping that she could help me get rid of the reddish/purple little spider veins that had developed in both of my legs, during my pregnancy. These veins can also be a hereditary problem too, yet I had never had them before, until becoming pregnant! The veins did not hurt, but it really bothered me with how both of my legs looked, because of the invasion of these little surface veins! Dr. Shafa told me about a procedure called sclerotherapy, which is where she injects the these tiny veins with a saltwater solution, in order to irritate the vein and close it down. It is done with a very small, thin needle, which Dr. Shafa is so wonderful at using! She knows just how and where to inject the solution precisely into each vein, and she is very good at finding the “feeder veins” for the larger problem areas.
Dr. Shafa is an excellent, down to earth doctor that makes you feel very comfortable and at ease! She is very good at what she does and I feel so blessed that I found her to help me with this problem of mine.
I am now 38 years old and I have had another child, since I first started going to her back in 2001. I still come to her for sclerotherapy, since I seem to have new patches come up here and there.
If this is something that may bother you too, I would highly recommend that you visit Dr. Shafa for a consultation regarding sclerotherapy. You will not be disappointed in her work!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shafa for ten years and she will always be my doctor because her caring and expertise saved my life. Five years ago, during a breast examination she found a very small lump and immediately sent me for further testing. The lump she found with her fingers was so small it didn’t even show up on a breast MRI but a needle biopsy confirmed it as a cancer. During the office visit, when I found out about the positive test result, she and her staff were comforting and efficient, sending me directly to a specialist, who immediately sent me to a surgeon. Within ten days of her finding the lump my surgery was done and because the cancer was caught so early it had not moved into the lymph nodes, my breast was saved and I didn’t have to go through chemo-therapy. I am now cancer free and whole thanks to Dr. Shafa.
Dr. Shafa is outstanding because in addition to warmth and dedication she is extraordinarily perceptive and knowledgeable. Healing is more than knowledge though, it is an art and Dr. Shafa is gifted.

On July 27th 2009 Dr. Parvin Shafa performed a cosmetic procedure of injecting Restylane in the area underneath both of my eyes.
Dr. Shafa explained the procedure to me. I felt comfortable with the information she provided to me prior to the
procedure and the after care she gave was stellar.
With little to no pain during the injections and minimal swelling afterwards, I am thrilled with the results. The correction was immediate. It has been over 5 months and I could not be happier with the correction. I look well rested and the shadows or hollows are gone.

My name is Rick Castro and I have been a patient of Dr. Shafa for cosmetic injection since 2000. I can’t begin to explain what a transformation my treatment has made in my life.
