Our FotoFacial RF™ treatment uses light and radio-frequency energy combined in the same pulse. These gentle, no-downtime treatments are used to improve the cosmetic appearance of the Skin of face, neck Chest or hand.

What is "ELOS" Technology
Our Fotofacial RF is a unique skin rejuvenation device that works by producing a dual energy which acts synergistically to enhance the skin.

How does the FotoFacial RF™ work to improve the appearance of the skin?
Each pulse of the FOTOFACIAL™ RF device sends two types of energy into your skin, Light energy is given up to brown spots, blood vessels, and redness to gradually and gently lessen or eliminate these blemishes. The RadioFrequency energy also produces significant amounts of collagen, elastin and ground substances in the dermis, the thick undercarpet of the skin, resulting in a noticeable and significant smoothening of fine to moderate wrinkles and textural irregularities of the skin.
How much improvements can I expect with the FotoFacial program?
All patients notice a consistent improvement in the appearance of their skin with each extra treatment. The degree of improvement can vary but averages 50-75%.
How many treatments are needed with the FotoFacial program?
The FotoFacial RF requires 3 to 6 treatments, one every 3 weeks for 9 to 18 weeks depending of what we are treating. This schedule has been determined to be the most effective in producing the best results.
How soon do I see skin improvement?
The degree of improvement is gradual and persistent with 3 to 6 FotoFacial RF™ treatments over the 9 to 18 week program.
Different skin problems need different level of energy and different number of treatments. Brown spots are the first skin blemishes that responses to fotofacal treatments followed by vascular lesions. Aging and skin laxicity require more treatments.
What is the down time or side effect of fotofacial RF?
Elos technology is the safest skin rejuvenation technology available. The most common unwanted effects are if any slight swelling and redness that can last for a few hours. Late effects can be days lasting patches of redness which are temporary. This can happen if we decide to treat some kind of skin blemishes with higher energy for a better result or if your skin shows over sensitivity to the treatment. Either way complete recovery is expected.
What does elos feel like?
Treatment with elos produces a slight tingling feeling, and on the most sensitive areas of the skin, patients may only feel a quick, light pinch on rubber band sensation with each pulse.
How the FotoFacial RF™ treatments performed?
The FotoFacial RF treatments are simple, office based rocedures. Prior to treatment you will receive a comprehensive skin assessment and medical skin evaluation. This evaluation determines unique characteristics of your skin type and problem areas for treatment.
Numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes prior to treatment if patient requests. Once the procedure begins, the treatment area is covered with a very thin layer of clear gel. This conducts the RF current into your skin efficiently. The hand piece of the FotoFacial RF device than moved over your skin while a gentle pulse of light and Radio-Frequency energy is emitted.
How long the procedure takes?
It depends of area that has been treated, anywhere between 30 minutes up to 1.5 hours.
How long will the Skin enhancement effects of the FotoFacial RF last?
At the completion of the FotoFacial RF program your skin will have achieved a noticeable and consistent degree of improvement. Over 90% of patients are quite satisfied at the end of their program. Occasionally, some patients desire an even greater degree of improvement and these patients will sign up for additional procedures. Most FotoFacial RF patients will desire to maintain the nice skin enhancements they achieved from the program and, for these satisfied patients, a single maintenance FotoFacial RF treatment is recommended every 2-4 months to keep the skin looking vital, even, smooth and youthful.
Does FotoFacial RF™ treatment hurt?
Recent upgrades of Elos made the procedure pain free to the point that topical numbing creams are not required any more. However it is available if needed to assure the comfort of our patients. Additionally we have a cooling device “SynerCool™ available. This forced cold air skin cooling system significantly improves patient comfort during aesthetic procedures and reduces redness.
Can I combine fotofacial RF with Skin refirme treatment?
Yes we can add the new ReFirme™ procedure to your regiment of treatments, to tighten and firm your skin even more. The fast and virtually painless, ReFirme™ procedure, combines an infrared light and a controlled, higher dose of RadioFrequency energy in the same pulse. This ELOS™ combination of infrared light and RF in the same pulse greatly enhances the wrinkle smoothening and skin tightening effects of IPL-RF alone. |
