What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a procedure that a very fine needle is inserted into the natural opening of the hair follicle along side the hair shaft. A minute amount of current is then gently applied to destroy the hair follicle. This process destroys the hair growth tissue. Therefore, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated.
How effective is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is effective on all skin and hair types. It is important to follow the recommended treatment plan to achieve optimum results. No other hair removal solution can claim such universal acceptability and success.
How long the procedure last each visit?
Treatment sessions can range from 15 minutes to more than an hour depending on the area being treated and number of unwanted hairs.
How many treatments are required?

What is side effect of electrolysis
Immediately following treatment, there may be slight redness, which varies with each individual. The possible discomfort with the electrolysis is going to be controlled by Dr. Shafa’s expertise to complete pain free procedures if the patient request it. How often do I need to see you for electrolysis?
It varies, depending on each individual case. If needed you can come as frequent as once a week to a few times a year. Less frequent treatment is not going to effect final result of electrolysis.

Because Dr. Shafa will first evaluate your skin and type of hair and she will recommend the best modalities that removes the hair as permanent as possible.

Dr shafa will help her electrolysist to perform pain free procedures. If needed prescription strength numbing cream, infiltration technique or even nerve block will be performed by Dr. Shafa for sensitive skin area.
