What is Botox?
Botox is a sterile purified protein called botulism toxin Type A, derived from the Clostridum botulism bacteria.

How does Botox work?
In a medical setting, Botox is injected with a tiny needle into the muscles, it temporarily blocks the nerve impulse that signals muscle contraction., that is how it is used to relax the underlying muscle that causes facial wrinkles.

Botox has been used therapeutically since early 90s. Initially it has been used to treat " lazy eye" when it is injected into muscle of the eye. Today we use Botox for excessive underarm and hand sweating, migraine headache, control of overactive bladder, certain type of muscle and back pain, stroke related muscle contraction and more.
